Ana Goni-Lessan

Ana Goni-Lessan is a seasoned journalist currently serving as a state watchdog reporter for Florida at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK since June 2023. Previously, Ana worked as a children and families reporter at the Tallahassee Democrat from 2021 to 2023 and held positions at the Houston Chronicle from 2018 to 2021 as both an assistant op-ed editor and a copyeditor for various community newspapers. Ana's career began with freelance writing and photography in the Houston area and has included roles such as desk editor at The Baytown Sun and verifier/editor for the Florida House of Representatives. Ana possesses academic credentials with a Master of Arts in Journalism from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Florida.
