Dirk Smit

Dirk Smit has a diverse professional background with significant experience in facility coordination and bicycle sales. Currently serving as a Facilitair coördinator at Talma Urk since December 2019, Dirk has also specialized in the purchase and sale of used bicycles at Bikeshop Urk Bv since January 2018. Dirk's long-standing commitment to the Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij as an Opstapper on station URK dates back to March 2000. Previous experience includes roles at Berechja College from January 2018 to June 2021 as a member of the MR and at Bikeshop Urk from June 2011 to October 2019 as a Verkoper/monteur. With a foundation in various maritime and safety certifications, including a Grootvaarbewijs and medical first aid, Dirk is furthering expertise in Facility Management through studies at ISBW Opleiding & Training and NCOI Opleidingen, slated for completion in June 2024.
