Osama Alshaykh

CTO and Member of the Board at Talon Aerolytics

Osama Alshaykh has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1996 as a Visiting Researcher at the University of California. In 1997, they joined Rockwell Scientific as a Research Scientist, where they developed Intellectual Property for different groups. In 1998, they became the CTO of PacketVideo Corp, where they were an active participant in the Board meetings. In 2012, they became the Founder and CEO of NxTec Corporation, as well as an Advisor for Euclid Discoveries, LLC and a Board Member of LogicBlox. In 2014, they joined Boston University as a Faculty Member in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and a Civic Tech Fellow in the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences. In 2018, they became the CTO and Member of the Board of Talon Aerolytics. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Co-Founder of collaboratehealth, where they work to enhance and extend patient care beyond the traditional in-person doctor/patient visit.

Osama Alshaykh obtained their B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan between 1985 and 1990. Osama then attended Iowa State University from 1991-1992, where they earned their M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. Finally, from 1991-1996, they attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and obtained their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
