Damien Schoof

Damien Schoof has worked in the software engineering and development field since 2008. Damien began their career as a Disabilities Worker at the Free Reformed Association Assisting Those With Special Needs in 2008. In 2009, they worked as an Office Developer at Precision Cabinet Makers, where they developed databases with Microsoft Access and VBA, as well as spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel and VBA. Damien then worked as a Senior Software Developer at Coyote Software from 2011 to 2016. During their time there, they helped build a system to perform distributed transactions for payment processing. In 2016, they moved to LogiSense Corporation, where they re-architected the payments process inside the application, to extract all PCI sensitive data to a microservice. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at Ladder Software. In 2019, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Broadway Technology. In 2021, they held two positions, as President of DRS Solutions Inc and Senior Software Engineer at Barracuda FX, where they provided .Net software support for Barracuda FX's Foreign Exchange software suite. Damien currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Talos.

Damien Schoof attended John Calvin Christian College from 2001 to 2006 and then Curtin University from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a BSci in Computer Science.
