Philipp Lorenz

Philipp Lorenz has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Philipp started their career as an Undergraduate Associate at Leyer-Pritzkow Unternehmensberatung in 2011 and later interned at Deutsche Telekom as part of their Strategy Execution and Performance Management team. In 2013, they joined Kleef & Co Ltd as a Business Analyst and also served as an intern in the same company.

In 2014, Philipp worked at IBM, where they were involved in various projects, including a Master Thesis at the Center for Advanced Studies and participation in the IBM Extreme Blue program. Following that, they co-founded a startup called Start-Up Under Construction in 2015. Additionally, they co-founded another startup called yQ - Changing the Status Queue in 2016, where they aimed to revolutionize the queuing experience.

Philipp's entrepreneurial spirit continued as they became a CFO at talpasolutions GmbH in 2016. At talpasolutions, Philipp played a key role in providing predictive SaaS analytics for the mining industry, helping companies optimize machine performance and improve safety through data analysis. More recently, in 2018, they became a Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund.

Philipp Lorenz began their education at Afnorth International School in 1995 and completed their studies there in 2008. Following this, they attended Maastricht University from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business. In 2011, they participated in a study abroad program at the University of Newcastle, focusing on International Business. In 2013, Philipp enrolled in ESCP Business School, where they pursued a Specialized Master in Strategy and Organization Consulting, and completed their degree with honors in 2014. Additionally, in 2014, they briefly attended Cornell University as part of an exchange program.
