Michael Gort has held a variety of positions in the past 15 years. In 2019, they were a Sr. Accountant at Tamara Mellon. From 2010 to 2009, they were a Quality Assurance Specialist and Technical Support at Specialty Merchandise Corp. During this time, they assisted Call Center Representatives to operate at optimal efficiency, monitored phone calls, chats, and emails to make sure representatives were in compliance with Q.A., and assisted members with any issues concerning their websites. In 2008, they were an Email Marketer/Network Admin Assistant at Email Syndicate, where they set up advertisement offers and sent them out using email marketing software, analyzed the deliverability of offers, and researched marketing trends in email marketing to enhance deliverability. From 2004 to 2009, they were a Project Manager at Gort's Renovations, where they planned, managed, and coordinated construction, renovation and/or repair projects for residential housing, prepared cost estimates of renovations and projects, and determined quality and quantity of materials, supplies and manpower required.

Michael Gort attended the University of New Orleans from 2002 to 2006 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Management/Information Systems.
