Abdulmajeed Alsukhan is cofounder and CEO of the Saudi Arabia-based BNPL company, Tamara. Abdulmajeed is a serial entrepreneur, with Tamara being his third startup so far. Tamara allows online and in-store shoppers in Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., and Kuwait to split payments across three installments with no hidden fees or interest. It has processed transactions worth over 1 Billion SAR 2021, Tamara’s first full year of operation. Tamara works with leading brands such as Jarir, SHEIN, Namshi, IKEA, NiceOne, Adidas among others. Today, Tamara has over 4 million registered customers and 4,000 partners. It has raised over $215 million in funding and employs almost 250 people across Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Kuwait, Germany, and Vietnam.
Previously Abdulmajeed cofounded Nana, a digital grocery shopping platform, as well as on-demand hyperlocal delivery service Habli. Nana is currently the largest digital grocery shopping platform in Saudi Arabia and has raised more than $80 million in funding to date.
Abdulmajeed has a Master of Arts in Economic Policy from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Economics from California State University, Northridge.
