Melanie Johns

Melanie Johns, CPA, currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Tamarack Land Development since February 2024. Previously, Melanie held the role of Chief Financial Officer at CARROLL from January 2021 to December 2023, and prior to that, served as CFO at The John Hardy Group Inc. from April 2019 to December 2020. Melanie's extensive experience includes positions as VP of Accounting, IR, Tax, and FP&A at Cortland Partners (2012-2018) and VP of Accounting at Place Properties/Peak Campus (2006-2011). Earlier in the career, Melanie worked as Controller at Gables Residential (2003-2005) and CFO at BVT Equity Holdings (1998-2003), along with a role as Controller/Tax Manager at Trammell Crow Residential (1990-1998). The career began in taxation as a Tax Staff member at Arthur Andersen (1988-1990). Melanie holds a Master’s in Accounting with a focus on Tax from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Accounting from Florida State University.
