Andrew Smithson

Andrew Smithson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in infrastructure development and investment across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Project Development at Tamasuk Holding Co since October 2020, Andrew oversees projects in renewable energy, utilities, digital infrastructure, social infrastructure, and transportation. Prior to this role, Andrew was the Managing Director at Lux Enterprises, providing self-managed consultancy services from January 2018 to December 2020. Andrew also held the position of Vice President at Alcazar Energy from August 2014 to July 2017, focusing on renewable energy projects in the META region, and served as Associate Director at HSBC MENA Infrastructure Fund from February 2007 to July 2014, where investment was made in infrastructure assets across the MENA region. Additional experience includes serving as a Board Director at Sohar Power Company and working as a Senior Consultant at William Buck and a Financial Analyst at Ford Credit Australia. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business in Banking and Finance from Monash University, obtained between 1998 and 2001.
