Thomas McDermott has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Thomas currently holds the position of SVP, Marketing at Tambourine, a company specializing in technology and creativity for hotels and resorts. Thomas began their career as an Intern/Vendor at Florida Virtual School.

Thomas McDermott has a Bachelor's degree in Digital Media: Writing for Media from the University of Central Florida, which they obtained from 2003 to 2006. Thomas then pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from Florida Atlantic University, completing the program from 2008 to 2015.
