Mathieu Garon

Mathieu Garon is an experienced hockey professional with a diverse background in coaching, community development, and professional play. Currently serving as the Assistant Hockey Director of Community Hockey for the Tampa Bay Lightning since July 2014, Mathieu focuses on teaching hockey basics in local schools and conducting camps. Additionally, Mathieu holds roles as a coach at Garon Goaltending and as a SafeSport Coordinator for the Lightning High School Hockey League. As a former NHL goaltender, Mathieu played for teams including the Tampa Bay Lightning, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Pittsburgh Penguins. Mathieu also contributed as a freelance writer for LNH.com, focusing on goalie insights in French, and has experience in medical sales. Education included studies at Cegep de Victoriaville and Paul-Hubert Rimouski.
