Sydney Malone

Sydney Malone is an experienced professional in amateur scouting and baseball operations. Currently serving as Manager of Amateur Scouting for the Tampa Bay Rays since October 2018, Sydney has progressed through various roles, including Coordinator and Administrator in the same department. Prior experience includes working as Assistant General Manager/Baseball Operations Supervisor at Wareham Gatemen Baseball Inc., where contributions led to the team's championship in the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2018. Sydney's background also includes a position as a Baseball Operations Student Assistant at the University of Mississippi, where collaboration with MLB scouts occurred. An educational foundation in Sports and Recreation Administration from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management - Data Science from the University of Florida supports Sydney's analytical expertise in player scouting and development.
