William Wetzel is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community engagement and education. Currently serving as the Manager of Community Development for the Tampa Bay Rays since January 2018, William manages the successful 50/50 Charity Raffle and has developed the Rays Science of Baseball program to engage at-risk youth with baseball and science careers. Previously, as the Senior Coordinator of Community Engagement, William oversaw the Reading with the Rays program, achieving a significant budget surplus. William's earlier roles include Academic Advisor at Arapahoe Community College, where William led a sizable caseload and contributed to the approval of the Paralegal ABA accreditation review, and Assistant Director of Student Success and Retention at Ivy Tech Community College, focusing on retention strategies for at-risk students. William holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University and a Master's degree in Education from Indiana University Indianapolis.
