Cherie Jacobs

Cherie Jacobs is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media and public relations. Currently serving as the Manager of Media and PR at Tampa Electric since May 2011, Cherie has previously held the role of Media Spokesperson at Progress Energy from April 2004 to May 2011. Cherie's career in journalism began as a reporter at The Ledger from May 1989 to February 1995, followed by reporting positions at the Sarasota Herald Tribune and Tampa Tribune. Cherie earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 1985 and 1989.
