Randy Melton

Randy Melton is an experienced environmental compliance manager with a career spanning over three decades in environmental management. Currently serving as the Manager of Environmental Compliance at Tampa Electric Company since March 2006, Melton oversees environmental regulatory permitting and compliance related to solid and hazardous waste management, oil spill prevention, and water quality programs. Prior to this role, Melton was an Environmental Project Manager at Progress Energy Corp. from September 1989 to May 2005, where responsibilities included ensuring compliance with power plant site certification for the Hines Energy Complex. Additionally, as an Environmental Engineer at Sonoco Products Company from May 1987 to September 1989, Melton managed corporate environmental permitting and compliance for numerous facilities. Melton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the University of North Carolina - Wilmington.
