Jeffrey Huggins

Jeffrey Huggins is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public service and community engagement, currently serving as the Community Engagement Manager at Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library since June 2019. Previously, Huggins worked as a Legislative Aide for both Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa, as well as at The Florida Senate, where a strong focus on legislative support was developed. Huggins held the position of Director of Government Relations/Legislative Advocacy at the University of South Florida and garnered experience in public relations as the Director of Public Information for Citizens for Responsible Alternatives to Malathion CRAM. An accomplished editor and photographer, Huggins also served as Managing Editor at both Lehbar-Friedman, Inc. and Sunbelt Newspapers. Huggins holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of South Florida and is pursuing a Master of Library & Information Science degree at Florida State University. Additionally, Huggins has a background in broadcasting, having received a diploma from Columbia School of Broadcasting.
