Jake Kavanagh

Jake Kavanagh is an experienced professional currently serving as the Technical Director, Design Faculty, and Grade Level Dean at Tampa Preparatory School since July 2023. Previously, Kavanagh held various roles at The Companies of Nassal, including Design Manager and Senior Designer from February 2022 to July 2023. As the owner of jkdesigns, inc. from January 2010 to December 2021, Kavanagh provided 3D design services and custom fabrication for multiple industries. Other significant positions include Technical Director/Designer and Teacher at Durham Academy from August 2016 to November 2021 and Owner of JKMOD, inc. from January 2016 to January 2020. Early career experience includes serving as Art Director at Tribe, Inc. and Design Director at Softspace. Kavanagh holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from DePaul University.
