Tamron Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of photography- and lens-related products, as well as special machinery and others. The Company operates in three business segments. The Photography-related segment offers interchangeable lenses for single-reflex cameras. The Lens-related segment offers digital camera lenses, video camera lenses, lens units for mobile phones, and various optical device units. The Special Machinery and Others segment offers lens units for surveillance cameras and automobile uses. As of December 31, 2013, the Company had nine subsidiaries. It is also engaged in purchase and sale of securities, real estate leasing, sale and management.
