Elizabeth Leonhardt

Elizabeth Leonhardt has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position being the Managing Director of Partnerships and Climate Resilience at Tanager since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at ACDI/VOCA, where they held several roles including Senior Director of Business Development for Resilience & Growth, Director of Business Development, and Associate Director of Business Development. Elizabeth'sresponsibilities in these positions included managing the development of the department's pipeline, writing and contributing to proposals, and identifying funding opportunities.

Before their time at ACDI/VOCA, Elizabeth worked at DAI as a Senior New Business Specialist, coordinating capture efforts and supporting proposal teams. Elizabeth also held roles as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Associate Project Manager, and Project Associate. At the Organization of American States, they worked as a Consultant, focusing on systematizing results and conducting literature reviews. Elizabeth also served as a Graduate Assistant at the School of International Service at American University and completed internships at the Rural Forestation and Progress Network Corporation, Peru109, Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, Carter Center, and Refugee Family Services in Atlanta, GA.

Elizabeth Leonhardt received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005. Elizabeth then obtained a Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education from Agnes Scott College between 2005 and 2007. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Development from the American University School of International Service from 2009 to 2011.
