Austin Wilshire

Austin Wilshire has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Austin is currently working as a Software Engineering Manager at Tanda since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a contractor at xBacked DAO from June 2021 to February 2023.

Before entering the technology industry, Austin was a Co-Founder at Athenix, where they aimed to help everyday people with their investment decisions using technology. However, the business failed to validate the product, and they left after the Suncorp Incubator in March 2020.

In terms of their technical roles, Austin has worked as a Product Manager at Tanda from August 2020 to August 2021. Austin successfully transitioned from an engineering role to product management and was involved in reducing the scope of Shape Ups, organizing user research interviews, and scoping technical solutions.

Austin also served as a Systems Engineer and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Tanda from January 2018 to June 2021. In this role, they managed AWS costs, implemented event processing pipelines, and contributed to a SOC-2 Audit. Austin also played a key role in maintaining and improving production workloads and implementing monitoring mechanisms.

Earlier in their career, Austin worked as a Software Developer at Max Kelsen from September 2017 to February 2018. Austin also worked as a Full Stack Developer at A Cloud Guru from March 2017 to September 2017, where they worked on projects involving AngularJS and Serverless Architecture in AWS.

Before entering the technology industry, Austin worked as a Web Developer at iRecruit Australia from July 2016 to February 2017.

Austin Wilshire holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with a minor in Finance, obtained from QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Additionally, they have completed a certificate program titled "Disruptive Strategy with Clayton Christensen" from the Harvard Business School Online in 2021. In terms of additional certifications, Austin obtained the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2019.
