Mark Dalby has extensive work experience in various technology roles. In their most recent position as Chief Technology Officer at Tandem - Language Exchange, they were responsible for the technology strategy of an edtech platform with over 20 million users. Mark oversaw the technical decisions of three cross-functional teams and led the migration to an event-driven microservice architecture. Mark's previous role as a Platform Architect & Product Owner at Atida involved managing online pharmacy platforms. Prior to that, they served as Chief Technology & Product Officer at Mornin' Glory GmbH, where they transformed the company's web platform to handle high traffic and international shipping. Mark also worked as a Big Data Consultant at Masternaut, specializing in MySQL and Percona performance tuning. Additionally, they served as a Technical Director and Senior Network Engineer at Nexbridge Communications Ltd, where they were involved in the design, development, and implementation of telecoms networks and network monitoring tools.
Mark Dalby received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology from The Open University, which they attended from 2020 to 2024. Prior to this, they obtained 10 GCSE qualifications from Glossopdale Community College between 1998 and 2002. Mark'sGCSEs comprised subjects such as English (x2), maths, science, history, psychology, electronics, drama, music, and German.
