Fen Pei

Fen Pei began their career in 2013 as a Consultant Intern at IMS Health. In 2015, they became a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, where they worked under Dr. Ivet Bahar and Dr. D. In 2020, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Silicon Therapeutics. In 2021, they joined Roivant Sciences as an Investigator (multiomic sciences), where they identified a list of protein binding partners for a target of interest, performed pathway and gene ontology enrichment analysis, identified key genes and pathways associated with cellular sensitivity to inhibitors, and trained a machine learning classifier to predict cellular sensitivity. Finally, in 2022, they joined TandemAI as a Machine Learning Scientist.

Fen Pei began their educational journey in 2009 when they earned a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Peking University. From 2013 to 2015, Fen Pei attended Peking University again and earned a Master of Science in Medicinal Chemistry and Computer-Aided Drug Design. In 2015, Fen Pei began dual PhD programs at University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University, graduating in 2020 with Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Computational Biology from both institutions.
