Hassan Kalombo

Hassan Kalombo has extensive experience in fisheries management and resource conservation, currently serving as the Regional Fisheries Officer for RAS Tanga since July 2012. In this role, Hassan provides technical advice to local government authorities and supervises various production and economic sectors related to fisheries and agriculture. Previously, from February 2006 onward, Hassan worked as a Fisheries Officer at the Tanga Region Office, coordinating fisheries issues and advising districts. Additionally, from April 1995 to June 2007, Hassan was the Fisheries and Coral Reef Management Coordinator for the Tanga Coastal Zone Conservation and Development Programme, focusing on law enforcement, data collection, and community training in coral reef assessment. Hassan holds a General Diploma in Fisheries from Kunduchi Fisheries Institute in Dar es Salaam and completed secondary education at Mzumbe Secondary School in Morogoro.
