Web Developer at Tangany

Jens Schäfer has been working in the tech industry since 2018. In 2018, they were an Information Security Assistant at eyeo. In 2019, they were a Software Development Intern at Blickfeld, where they improved the existing control and information GUI of the Blickfeld Cube 1 3D-LiDAR-Sensor and created components for displaying two additional metrics. Jens also worked as a Web Developer at Tangany that same year. In 2021, they became a Research Assistant at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they modified an existing Unity C# project to simulate comfort distances at crosswalks of autonomous cars for pedestrians and adapted the application for the Oculus Quest 2 VR-Headset. Jens also created the front-end to an AI stakeholder matching platform for the European Network of Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (Humane AI) using React TypeScript and AWS Amplify.

Jens Schäfer obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Medieninformatik from the University of Cologne between 2014 and 2018. Jens then pursued a Master of Science in Mensch-Computer-Interaktion from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 2019 to 2022. In addition, they received a certification from edX in Harvard University's CS50's Web Programming with Python and JavaScript in August 2019, and an IELTS 8.5 (C2) certification from the British Council in December 2017.
