Emily Hutnik

Emily Hutnik is a seasoned professional in service design and user experience, currently serving as a Senior Service Designer at Tangerine since July 2022. Previously, Emily worked as a Design Strategist at Canada Life from June 2018 to June 2022, where responsibilities included conducting stakeholder interviews, managing multiple projects, and facilitating design thinking workshops that resulted in significant website traffic growth and cost savings. Early career experiences included an Innovation Intern position at Great-West Life, where Emily contributed to various user research projects, and multiple roles as a Sales Administrator at Cypher Systems Group. As an entrepreneur, Emily founded Custom Access, receiving a government grant for innovative business planning. Emily holds a degree in Global Business and Digital Arts from the University of Waterloo and studied Entrepreneurship and Design at Lancaster University.
