Simon Mathieu

Simon Mathieu is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in leading engineering teams and developing innovative technical solutions. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Tangible since April 2023, Simon previously founded a Stealth Mode ClimateTech Venture and held significant roles at Shopify as a Senior Engineering Manager focusing on the Messaging engineering group. Prior positions include Engineering Manager at Lookout, managing teams related to cybersecurity solutions, and being the first hire at Rainforest QA where core infrastructure was established. Simon's early career included impactful roles at Twitter, PagerDuty, Yardstick Software Inc., and VLAM Innovations Inc., where a notable achievement was a 36x improvement in core algorithm speed through advanced programming techniques. Simon holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke and completed the International Baccalaureate in Natural Sciences at Petit Séminaire de Québec.
