Emily Dorn has a diverse work experience. Emily worked as an Applications Engineer at TANN Corporation starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were a Women in STEM Mentor at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville from 2021 to 2023. In 2022, they interned as an Engineering Intern at McCain Foods, where they focused on creating engineering standards, conducting research on waste reduction, and managing equipment lists for a capital project. From 2017 to 2022, they worked as a Cake Decorator at Festival Foods. In 2021, they interned as a Manufacturing Process Engineer at MCM COMPOSITES, where they improved processes and provided technical support to the manufacturing floor. Emily also worked as a Women in STEM Student Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2020.

Emily Dorn pursued their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Emily attended the university from 2019 to 2023, completing their education in that time period. In addition to their degree, they obtained a Lean Green Belt certification from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers in March 2023.
