Co-founder & CPO at Tanso

Gyri Reiersen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Gyri is currently a Co-founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Tanso, a role they have held since September 2022. Prior to that, they were a Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Tanso from September 2021 to September 2022.

In 2021, Gyri worked as a Visiting Research Student at ETH Zürich, where they focused on researching the end-to-end carbon estimation of tropical reforestation projects using drone imagery. This research was a collaboration between ETH Zürich, MIT Human Systems Lab, and other institutions.

Before joining ETH Zürich, Gyri gained experience as an Intern at Inventures, an Angel Collective that invests in early-stage technology companies. Gyri also worked as a Technology Intern at Bekk, where they gained experience in the technology field.

In 2019, Gyri worked as an Innovation Consultant at Fraunhofer ISS, where they focused on providing consultancy services in the area of innovation. Gyri also worked as a Product Development Consultant at E.ON, where they contributed to the development of an IoT solution and prediction algorithms for office sensor data.

Earlier in their career, Gyri had a summer internship at Laerdal Medical, where they worked on machine learning projects and collaborated with an AI consultancy firm. Additionally, they worked as an External Consultant at GEA Group, conducting trend and scenario research for the dairy industry.

Gyri also gained research experience as a Student Research Assistant at Technische Universität München, where they worked on creating scenarios for autonomous vehicles based on real recorded data. Gyri also had an internship as a Project Manager at Penda Paper Recycling, where they worked on developing the company's strategy and investigating business opportunities.
