Cheri Mara

Cheri Mara's work experience starts with their current role as the Vice President of National Sales at Tantalus Labs, which they began in March 2023. Previously, they owned and operated Tierra Hermosa Local Market, a small business in Creemore, ON, that showcased local artisans' products. Cheri was the co-founder and consultant at The Verve Consulting, where they partnered with clients in the cannabis industry to address challenges and build sustainable brands. Cheri served on the Executive Council at o9 Solutions, Inc., and as the CEO of Amber Canada Inc. In addition, they co-founded and served as a principal at M+M Business Advisory + Consulting, a consulting firm that provided customized services to clients. Cheri also held leadership positions at Ontario Cannabis Store, Indigo, Walmart, and Canadian Tire, contributing to various areas like commercial operations, merchandise, digital expansion, e-commerce, and category management.

Cheri Mara completed their education at Harvard Business School, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Cheri attended Harvard from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended the University of New Brunswick from 1995 to 2000 and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Marketing. In addition to their academic qualifications, Cheri Mara has also obtained various certifications, including an ICF Member Badge from the International Coaching Federation in February 2021 and Cannabis Sommelier Level 1 and Level 2 certifications from CannaReps in February 2020.
