Coleen Thomas-Debari

Coleen Thomas-DeBari is an experienced educator with a focus on compliance and equity in education, currently serving as the Compliance and Equity Coordinator for Tantasqua Regional/Union 61 Schools since April 2023. Thomas-DeBari has a robust background in professional development, having developed a 15 PDP SEI/ESL professional development program based on the RETELL curriculum for educators since January 2015. As a RETELL/SEI Instructor for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education since October 2015, Thomas-DeBari has trained core teachers on various RETELL initiatives. Previous positions include serving as the English Language Coordinators for Milford Public Schools and ESL District Department Head for Millbury Public Schools, where responsibilities encompassed supporting English Language Learners and collaborating with district leadership. Thomas-DeBari's educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Human Services from Capella University and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and English Literature from Kean University.
