Julia Weaver Bernstein

Julia Weaver Bernstein has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fashion industry. Julia Weaver most recently worked at TANYA TAYLOR as the VP of Product Development & Production starting in 2020. Prior to that, they were the Director of Product Development & Production at JASON WU LLC from 2015 to 2020.

In 2011, Julia launched their own consulting firm, JWB Fashion Group, where they served as the President. Julia Weaver worked with brands such as JASON WU and DIANE VON FURSTENBERG to analyze and improve product development and production processes.

From 1995 to 2011, Julia worked at Wathne Ltd as the Vice President of Product Development & Production. Julia Weaver directed product development through production and managed private label programs for various accounts, including Vera Bradley, Calvin Klein, and Ann Taylor.

Julia also held the position of Director of Product Development & Production at Wathne Corporation from 1995 to 2001. Julia Weaver led product development and production for a lifestyle brand with multi-channel distribution.

Before their time at Wathne, Julia worked as the Manager of Product Development & Production at Pamela Dennis, a Production Coordinator at Norma Kamali, and a Sample Room Manager at Perry Ellis International.

Julia Weaver began their career as a freelance theatrical costumer from 1980 to 1988.

Julia Weaver Bernstein pursued their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Columbia University, completing their studies in 1988. Prior to that, they attended Boston University from 1980 to 1982, where they focused on Costume Design and Theatre, though they did not complete a specific degree at that institution.
