Vice President of Pediatrics at Tanzen Medical

Katie Brooks has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Katie is currently working as a Quality Management Officer at Zolta LLC, where they oversee quality processes for a custom software development company specializing in Software as Medical Device systems. Katie'sresponsibilities include maintaining and managing the quality management system and conducting internal audits to ensure quality standards are met.

Prior to their current role, Katie served as the Vice President of Pediatrics at Tanzen Medical, Inc. Here, they assisted with the development and growth of the pediatric division and wearable devices. Katie conducted literature reviews to validate research related to pediatric disorders and sleep disruption.

Before joining Tanzen Medical, Katie worked at D-Prime LLC as a Staff Scientist and Program Coordinator. In this role, they assisted with human subjects studies, study planning, IRB compliance, and marketing efforts.

Katie also has experience in the public health sector, having worked as a Social Science Analyst at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In this role, they assisted with the assessment of provider-submitted payment models and the analysis and approval of projects applying for funding.

Additionally, Katie served as a Nursing Consultant at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Katie coordinated the Post-Acute Care Inpatient Rehabilitation Quality Reporting Program and managed communications for the Division of Chronic and Post-Acute Care. Katie also provided training and oversaw provider compliance with government quality reporting programs.

Earlier in their career, Katie worked as an Epic Principal Trainer and Nurse Educator at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where they provided nursing care in the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit and precepted new graduate nurses. Katie also worked as a Registered Nurse at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where they gained experience with Allscripts Sunrise and EPIC systems.

Katie's work experience also includes roles as a Customer Service Manager at Arbitrage International, LLC and as a Patient Care Technician at The Nebraska Medical Center.

Overall, Katie has a strong background in healthcare, quality management, program coordination, and public health analysis.

Katie Brooks received their Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Nebraska Medical Center from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2010, they pursued pre-nursing at the University of Nebraska Omaha. In 2013, they enrolled at the University of Maryland School of Nursing and obtained their Master's degree in Nursing Informatics in 2015.
