Jeff Tao has a strong background in technology and entrepreneurship. Jeff is currently the CEO and Founder of TDengine, an open-source time-series database optimized for IoT, Connected Cars, and Industrial IoT. TDengine has gained popularity, with over 21k stars on GitHub, over 250k running instances in over 50 countries, and over 150 paid customers.
Prior to TDengine, Jeff was the CEO and Founder of iCare Newlife Technologies, a mobile health start-up that focused on prenatal care services. The company was acquired by Pacific Network in 2015.

Jeff Tao earned a Master's degree in Astrophysics from Indiana University Bloomington in 1994-1995. In 1996-1997, they pursued another Master's degree in Computer Science at Louisiana State University.
