Dr Susanne Bahn

Dr Susanne Bahn has a diverse work experience in the field of work health and safety. Dr Susanne founded and serves as the CEO of a company called Tap into Safety, where they lead a team in developing and marketing an interactive mental health, leadership, and safety training platform. The platform offers a wide range of courses, customizable content, robust reporting, and additional resources such as self-help articles and mindfulness meditations. Dr Bahn's platform is designed to save time and money for safety, HR, and training professionals, while also creating mentally healthy workplaces and improving hazard awareness and help-seeking for mental health issues.

Prior to founding Tap into Safety, Dr Bahn worked as a Senior Lecturer at Edith Cowan University. In this role, they conducted research that focused on work health and safety and skilled labor, particularly in the resources and construction sectors. Dr Susanne'sresearch led to the development of an interactive training tool addressing hazard awareness and worker risk blindness.

Before their time at Edith Cowan University, Dr Bahn served as the director of KIS Safety from 2003 to 2014.

Dr. Bahn completed their MHFAider certification from MHFA Australia in 2021. In 2012, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from Edith Cowan University. Dr Susanne earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration and Management, General from Edith Cowan University from 2006 to 2008.

Prior to their doctoral studies, Dr. Bahn obtained a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from Edith Cowan University, which they completed between 2001 and 2006. In the same year, they also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Edith Cowan University.

Before their higher education, Dr. Bahn received a Diploma in Education from Edith Cowan University from 1980 to 1983. Dr Susanne completed their high school education at Scarborough Senior High School from 1976 to 1979. Dr. Bahn attended Our Lady of Good Council for their primary school education, from 1968 to 1974.
