Brian Savage has extensive experience in the field of mental health therapy. Brian began their career in 1994 at Wasatch Mental Health, where they provided therapy to children and their parents in a school outreach program. Brian later transferred to the Adult Outpatient Program. In 1999, they joined Discovery Academy as a Mental Health Therapist, providing therapy to at-risk youth in a residential treatment setting and coordinating with team members. From 2003 to 2007, they worked at Copper Hills Youth Center as a Mental Health Therapist, where they provided therapy to youth, supervised interns, and coordinated with caseworkers and insurance providers. Brian then moved to San Marcos Treatment Center from 2007 to 2009, where they provided therapy to adolescents suffering from trauma-related issues and coordinated with various stakeholders. Brian returned to Copper Hills Youth Center in 2009, this time as a Clinical Program Administrator, responsible for two clinical programming units and implementing a therapeutic milieu. Brian also worked as a Mental Health Therapist at Copper Hills Youth Center from 2012 to 2015, providing therapy and coordinating care. In 2016, Brian briefly worked as a Therapist at Sons of Helaman Counseling and also owned Warrior Counseling. Most recently, in 2022, they joined TapestryHealth as a Mental Health Therapist.
Brian Savage completed their education at various institutions. Brian attended Astoria High School from 1974 to 1977, where they obtained a high school diploma. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Brigham Young University, from 1983 to 1989. Subsequently, they continued their studies at the same institution, from 1992 to 1994, and received a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, specializing in Social Work.
