Jeff Franklin

Jeff Franklin is the current Virtual Chief Information Security Officer at TapOnIt. Jeff has held this position since July 2021. Prior to that, they were the Chief Cybersecurity Officer at Iowa Secretary of State from January 2020 to July 2021. From May 2019 to July 2021, they were also on the Executive Committee at the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center. From May 2009 to January 2020, they served as the Chief Information Security Officer for the State of Iowa - Executive Branch. And finally, from July 2007 to May 2009, they were the Information Security Officer at the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

Jeff Franklin has a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Iowa State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from the University of Northern Iowa, and various certifications in information security. These include a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from ISC2, a Certified Public Manager certification from Drake University, an Information Assurance certification from Iowa State University, and a Security Leadership Essentials certification from SANS.
