Deirdre Carlock

Deirdre Carlock, Ed.D., SPHR, serves as a Personnel Commissioner for the City of West Covina since October 2023 and is an Adjunct Professor in the Management and Human Resources Department at Cal Poly Pomona since September 2015. With extensive experience as an HR Strategy Consultant for Collaborative Brain Trust since August 2013, Deirdre develops HR strategy plans and conducts organizational analyses for community colleges. Deirdre has also held the position of Account Director and Project Manager at Taproot Foundation since 2010, managing projects for various nonprofit clients. As the Owner and Senior Consultant at Working With Intelligence, LLC since 2007, Deirdre provides executive-level HR services to organizations. Deirdre's educational background includes a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University and advanced degrees in Organizational Management and Business and Human Resources Management from Azusa Pacific University and California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, respectively.
