Odabasi transferred to the growth team at Kunduz after working in operations for one year. Haldun did this in order to learn more about the business and how to market the service to customers. Haldun was experienced with the wants and needs of the users from their time in operations and used this knowledge to their advantage on the growth team.

Kunduz launched at Y Combinator Summer 2018. During their time there, Odabasi was responsible for various tasks such as content marketing, establishing B2B partnerships, utilizing third party payment systems, measuring campaign efficiency, retention marketing, and guiding students through Intercom.

Haldun Odabasi studied industrial engineering at Boğaziçi University. Haldun has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Boğaziçi University.
