Fouad Akbar

Fouad Akbar is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Director of Group Planning and Budgeting at TAQA Group, with a tenure beginning in March 2012. In this role, Fouad provides strategic direction to Finance teams across various global business units and manages the Capital Investment Committee, facilitating the review of significant projects. Prior positions at TAQA include Vice President of Group Planning & Budgeting, Manager of Planning & Commercial Finance, Senior Analyst in Corporate Planning & Economics, and Economic Analyst, focusing on financial modeling, economic analysis, and budget planning. Previous experience includes roles as a Petroleum Economist at Schlumberger and a Junior Economist at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, along with academic work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Calgary.
