Thomas Svantesson is an accomplished Senior System Engineer at Tarana Wireless, Inc., since August 2014. Prior to this role, Thomas served as Team Leader for the LTE UE Research at ArrayComm, overseeing project planning and leading a team of PhD researchers and software engineers focused on LTE UE receivers. At ArrayComm, Thomas also led WiMAX Research and contributed significantly as a Systems Research Engineer, developing PHY layer algorithms and adaptive downlink broadcast techniques. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral position at UCSD, where Thomas constructed a MIMO software radio test-bed, and a Visiting Scholar role at Brigham Young University, where algorithm development for MIMO communication systems took place. Thomas holds a PhD and MSc in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, obtained in 2001 and 1996, respectively.
