Carol Akel

Carol Akel, MBA, CPM, SAFe 5 POPM, CSPO, currently serves as Sr Manager of Debit Program Management at Target, overseeing the product vision for an 8.5 million debit card portfolio. Prior experience includes Product Manager II for Lending at FIS, where a next-generation Lending Platform was developed, and Vice President at People's United Bank, where a strategic initiative led to a significant year-over-year interchange increase. Carol's career also includes leadership roles at KeyBank, managing the nation’s 20th largest Debit Card portfolio and achieving project successes in debit card management and operations. Earlier, as Director of Product Management & Marketing at Intex, Carol managed multiple product lines. Carol holds an MBA in Marketing from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a BBA from Cleveland State University.
