Katherine Downes

Katherine Downes is an experienced professional in human resources and retail management, currently serving as the Executive Team Lead for Human Resources at Target since December 2021. Prior to this role, Katherine worked as the General Manager at Athleta from May 2019 to December 2021 and held various positions at Victoria's Secret, including Store Manager and Merchandise Manager, from February 2016 to May 2019. Katherine's career in retail began at Gap Inc., where roles included General Manager from February 2014 to February 2016 and Assistant Store Manager of Merchandising at both Gap and Old Navy. Earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant Store Manager at American Eagle Outfitters. Katherine holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Maine, earned between 1998 and 2002.
