Joel Zimmerman has had a varied career in the media industry, beginning in 2009 when they were hired as Production and Web Coordinator for Twin Cities PBS. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the production and post-production office, managing the Digital Asset Management workflow, and supervising production interns. Joel was also responsible for conducting story research and contributing original content to Make: television's website and blog. In 2008, they were promoted to Office Coordinator for Make: television.
In 2013, they moved to Microgigantic as a Digital Media Specialist. In 2016, they were hired by HEROFi as a Producer. In 2019, they returned to Targetable as Director of Client Operations. In 2020, they moved to UPshow, where they held the roles of Customer Success Director and Enterprise Content Manager. Joel is currently employed at Targetable as Senior Manager of Customer Success.
Joel Zimmerman attended Macalester College from 2002-2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Joel'story.
