Jordan Townsend has a diverse range of work experience. They started their career at GH Creative as a Social Media & Research Intern in 2015. They also worked as a Co-Style Editor at Coulture Magazine from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, Jordan took on the roles of Intern at The Link Group and Co-Vice President & Programs Chair at HelpMeSee. They then interned at The August Jackson Company in 2017, where they were involved in client engagement, survey analysis, and brand roll out campaign creation. Jordan was also a Chief Strategist & Co-Team Leader of the Digital Social Marketing Team at UnlockUNC, a campaign initiated by the UNC journalism school. In 2018, they served as a Social Media Marketing and Strategy Intern at rAVe [PUBS], where they handled various social media platforms. They also worked as a Strategy Manager at THE rAVe Agency from 2018 to 2019. Jordan joined Targetbase in 2019 and held various positions, including Account Executive, Senior Account Executive, and Strategist. Currently, they hold the position of Strategy Director at Targetbase. Additionally, Jordan was an Associate Researcher at Recoding the Boys Club, where they conducted social science research on women's experiences in technology and political campaigns.
Jordan Townsend completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Strategic Communication & Marketing from the UNC School of Media and Journalism, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, in July 2020, they obtained a certification in Social Media Marketing Trends from LinkedIn.
