Thomas Gazagnaire has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Tarides since November 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Member of Technical Staff at Docker, Inc from January 2016 to November 2017. Thomas also co-founded and served as the Chief Architect at Unikernel Systems from December 2014 to January 2016. Thomas worked as a Researcher at the University of Cambridge from October 2013 to September 2015, specializing in unikernels. Thomas served as the Principal Virtualization Engineer at OnApp from March 2013 to October 2013. Additionally, Thomas held the role of CTO at OCamlPro from April 2011 to October 2013, where they led the development of OPAM, the package manager for OCaml. Thomas conducted post-doctoral research at INRIA from April 2010 to March 2011. Prior to that, at Citrix Systems from April 2008 to February 2010, Thomas was the Senior Software Engineer responsible for key parts of the xapi toolstack and subsystem architecture for various components. Thomas completed their doctoral research and master's thesis at INRIA in 2008 and 2004, respectively.
Thomas Gazagnaire completed their Master's degree in Computer Science at École normale supérieure de Lyon from 2001 to 2005. From 2003 to 2005, they also pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan. Subsequently, they studied at Université de Rennes I and obtained their Ph.D. in Computer Science from 2004 to 2008.
