Melissa Sousa serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at Tarion, a role held since April 2018, where strategic leadership and implementation of HR programs align with the company's vision. Previously, Melissa operated as the Human Resources Director and Human Resources Manager at OMERS, focusing on pension education, and as the Human Resources Manager at Oxford Properties Group, where significant contributions included collective bargaining, employee relations training, and diversity initiatives. Additional experience encompasses consulting roles and HR positions at Accenture, Eagle Professional Resources, and Statistics Canada, with a focus on various HR functions, including recruitment, training, and employee engagement. Melissa holds a degree in Business Law from Carleton University.
Tarion
Tarion is an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting Ontario’s new home buyers and owners through the province’s new home warranty and protection program. Tarion helps consumers protect one of their most significant purchases by guiding them through their rights and responsibilities under the new home warranty, so they can make informed decisions throughout the warranty claim process.
