Cameron Kerr AO has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Starting in 1997, they worked as the National Marketing Manager Consumer Healthcare at Faulding Healthcare for three years. In 2000, they took on the role of General Manager, Marketing and Communications at Taronga Conservation Society Australia (TCSA) where they stayed for six years before becoming the General Manager, Life Sciences and Environmental Education in 2006. In 2009, they were appointed as the Director/CEO of TCSA, a role they have held for over a decade. Alongside their work at TCSA, they have also taken on various board positions including being a Board Director for the International Rhino Foundation since 2009 and a Board Director for the Jane Goodall Institute Global Board since 2019. Additionally, they have served as the Chair and Board Member for Ecotourism Australia from 2008 to 2014. Currently, they are also the Chair of the Zoo & Aquarium Association Australasia since 2018.
Cameron Kerr AO completed a Bachelor of Science with Honors at UNSW from 1980 to 1984. In 2014, they attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors to study the Company Directors Course. Cameron also pursued a Master of Commerce in Organizational Behavior and Marketing at UNSW.

Taronga Conservation Society Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that is committed to securing a future for wildlife. At Taronga Zoo in Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, we lead conservation efforts in the field and participate in regional and global conservation breeding programs to establish insurance populations for species threatened in the wild. We also operate two wildlife hospitals that treat and rehabilitate injured native wildlife, as well as providing best practice health care for the animals at our Zoos. Taronga recognises that the planet’s biodiversity and ecosystems are the life support systems for the health and prosperity of all species including our own. At no time in history has this been more evident, with drought, bushfires, climate change, global pandemics, habitat destruction, ocean acidification and many other crises threatening natural systems and our own future. Whilst we cannot tackle these challenges alone, Taronga is acting now and working to save species, sustain ecosystems, provide experiences and create learning opportunities so that we act together.
