R. Thomas Kiger

R. Thomas Kiger, P.E., currently serves as the Assistant Director of Public Services for the City of Tarpon Springs, Florida, since November 2019. With a strong background in engineering, Kiger previously held the position of Senior Professional Engineer at the Southwest Florida Water Management District, where involvement included regional water supply planning and leadership of the reclaimed water work group for the Central Florida Water Initiative. Earlier, Kiger was a Professional Engineer at the Suwannee River Water Management District, managing water resource development projects and contributing to the Lower Santa Fe Basin Recovery Strategy. Additionally, experience as an Environmental Engineer at SCS Engineers involved the development and operation of groundwater remediation systems and comprehensive environmental monitoring. Academic credentials include an MS in Civil Engineering and a BS in Environmental Engineering, both from the University of Miami.
