More and more students of Tarrant County are earning two-year degrees and technical certificates at five schools of the Tarrant County College District in Fort Worth, Texas, one of the state's most rapidly growing institutions of higher learning. The five Texas campuses that make up the TCCD are located in: * Hurst * Fort Worth * Arlington The schools within the district offer academics in more than 80 areas of study, with associate's degrees in arts, science, teaching and applied science. Whether you know exactly where you plan on taking your career or you still need some exploring to do, the school is sure to have a program for you. Some areas of study include: * Drama and Theatre * Emergency Medical Services * Construction Management * Health Information Technology * Railroad Dispatcher The schools encourage all students to get involved with college life to enhance their educational experience. From field trips to leadership events to regional student competitions, there is plenty to do on campus. You can also make lifelong friends in a professional, recreational or leadership group. Some organizations you can join include the Chess Club, Organization for Human Awareness and Socratic Club. As long as you have graduated high school or earned a GED, you will be considered for admissions within the TCCD. Students from Tarrant County and other districts throughout Texas qualify for discounted tuition costs. All students may apply for TCCD financial aid by filing a FAFSA.
