Charles Odimgbe has a strong background in the transportation industry. Charles served as the Chief Operating Officer at TARTA and the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority from 2020 to present. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer at RIPTA from 2010 to 2020, where they were responsible for day-to-day management, setting vision and strategic direction, and managing budgets and staff training. Previously, Charles held the position of General Manager at Veolia Transportation from 2008 to 2010, overseeing the management of Chatham Area Transit. Charles began their career in the transportation industry as the Executive Director/CEO at Stark Area Regional Transit Authority from 2000 to 2008, where they managed the system, set budget parameters, and provided strategic vision and direction. Charles Odimgbe earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Concordia University-Portland between 1985 and 1988. Charles later pursued an MBA in Business Administration from George Fox University from 1996 to 1998.

TARTA
Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) is a public transit agency that has been transporting people in the Toledo area of Ohio since 1971. TARTA has more than 30 bus routes in and around the Toledo metropolitan area serving nine communities and carries approximately 3.5 million passengers each year. Every TARTA bus uses biodiesel fuel, andis equipped with bicycle racks.[1] All are wheelchair accessible. The transit authority also has special buses designed especially for disabled riders called TARPS (Toledo Area Regional Paratransit Service), which acts along the lines of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
